Hydra Glow is the last step of your morning skincare routine:

1. Cleanse with a gentle face wash, such as our Everyday Gentle Foaming Face Wash.
2. Tone with Beauty Water (Toner).
3. Treat with a face serum, such as our Vitamin C Concentrated Serum, or the Q10 + Vitamin C Face Oil Serum. Vitamin C and sunscreen work best together.
4. Moisturise with one of our face moisturizers.
5. Protect: squeeze the gel onto your index, middle and ring fingers (about two finger-lengths) and apply evenly to your face, neck, ears and arms, 15 to 30 minutes before going outside.

Reapply every 2 hours, and straight after swimming or sweating.

How is this transparent sunscreen different from regular sunscreen?

Many sunscreens use mineral filters like zinc oxide, which sit on top of the skin and leave a white or grey cast on dark skin. Hydra Glow uses modern chemical filters that absorb UV rays and blend in clear, so you get SPF 50+ protection that’s invisible on every skin tone.

Does it protect against both UVA and UVB rays?

Yes. SPF 50+ means high protection from UVB rays, which cause burning, and PA+++ means strong protection from UVA rays, which cause darkening and early ageing.

Is this a good sunscreen for oily skin?

Yes. The lightweight gel texture feels comfortable in heat and humidity, without the heavy, greasy layer that cream sunscreens can leave.

Will it clog pores or cause breakouts?

Heavy, greasy sunscreens are the usual culprits; Hydra Glow is a light gel made to feel comfortable on oily and acne-prone skin. If you’re prone to breakouts, patch test first, and explore our acne range for treatment.

Can I wear makeup over it?

Yes. Apply Hydra Glow as the last step of your skincare, give it a few minutes to set, then apply makeup as usual. Its smooth finish makes a good base.

Do black people need sunscreen?

Yes. Melanin gives dark skin some natural protection, but not enough to prevent sun damage. Without sunscreen, UV exposure darkens hyperpigmentation, causes uneven tone and speeds up skin ageing.

Can sunscreen make my skin darker?

No. The sun darkens skin; sunscreen helps prevent it. Some mineral sunscreens leave a grey cast that makes dark skin look ashy, which is why Hydra Glow is fully transparent.

Should I apply sunscreen before or after moisturizer?

After. Sunscreen is always the last step of your morning skincare, after your face moisturizer and before makeup.

Do I need sunscreen indoors?

If you sit near windows, yes, because UVA rays pass through glass. You don’t need it at night.

Can I use it with brightening products?
